Carobana: The Heart, Soul, and "Extra Sweet" Origin Story

If you want to know a big part of why Krisp N Krunch exists, look no further than Carobana. These guys are the absolute heart of our range, and quite frankly, my personal obsession with their carob products is what started this whole journey. Based in Coffs Harbour, Carobana specialises in that legendary "Extra Sweet" carob range that has a cult following across Australia.

They are the masters of the caffeine-free treat, crafting everything from their famous carob buttons to their "can't-stop-at-one" gluten-free honeycomb. Because they are a dedicated small manufacturer and most of their goodies are hand-made with love, they don't just churn things out of a factory line—and that's exactly why we love them.

A Quick Stock Update!

As many of you have noticed, our Carobana shelves are looking a bit bare! The secret is out, and they had an incredibly busy Christmas season that cleared them out completely. Being a small, local producer, they are working around the clock to catch up on their hand-crafted carob snacks.

We are working closely with the Carobana team, and while it’s taking a little longer to get our hands on a fresh batch, we are 100% committed to supporting these local Aussie producers. Hang tight—we’ll keep you posted the moment the Extra Sweet Carob range, carob buttons, and GF honeycomb are back where they belong!

The "Don’t Go Hungry" Detour

While we wait for the Coffs Harbour legends to work their magic (good things take time, right?), we don't want you left snackless!

If you’re chasing that premium carob fix right now, we highly recommend checking out The Carob Kitchen. While Carobana holds the crown for that "Extra Sweet" nostalgia, The Carob Kitchen offers a silky-smooth, farm-to-plate experience that is just as addictive. Their Banjo Bears and Carob Bars are in stock and ready to ship.

It’s a different vibe—think creamy and sophisticated vs. Carobana’s traditional sweetness—but it’s the perfect "tide-me-over" while we wait for the next batch of Extra Sweet buttons and honeycomb to land.
